The Divine Institution of Marriage: An Introduction

One of my classes this semester has been all about the family. My class has covered a wide variety of topics relating to family life, including but not limited to dealing with difficulties, parenting principles and practices, and marriage preparation. As part of my class, I’ve been working on a project that will show some of the things I’ve learned and come to understand about marriage. As I’ve come near the end of my project, I decided that I want to share with you what I’ve learned in the hopes that you will gain something from my insights. That’s why I’ve chosen to post my project here on my blog.

I chose to take three of the topics I learned about and create three lessons on marriage that I feel could be most beneficial to you. These lessons are meant to help you realize the importance of marriage, deepen your understanding of the different types of relationships and why many of them don’t bring true happiness, and recognize principles and practices that will help you create a celestial marriage that can last for eternity.

These lessons can also be used to teach in a classroom setting or at home with your family. If you choose to share these lessons with others, I encourage you to seek guidance and inspiration from Heavenly Father through the Holy Ghost. As you share each lesson, if the setting is appropriate please encourage active participation from your audience. Discussion is a great way to invite the Holy Spirit to bring deeper meaning and understanding to those that will listen.
